word of mouthはいわゆる「口コミ」で、by（via, through） word of mouthは、「口コミで」になります。
（例文）This new producut was advertised by （via, through）word of mouth. この新商品は口コミで宣伝されました。
intrude
ベンとジェシカが夫婦水入らずで温泉に入っていると、ナポレオンが入ってきます。

intrudeは、歓迎されていない場面で「（人の私事に）立ち入る」、「邪魔をする」という意味です。
後に出てくるinterruptと似ていますが、少しニュアンスが違ってきます。
interruptは、「会話などを中断したり遮ること」、「行為や進行を中断すること」を指します。
（例文）I don’t like you to intrude on my privacy. あなたに私事に立ちいってほしくないの
（例文）Sorry for interrupting you, but your boss is calling you. 話の途中ですみませんが、上司が呼んでいます。

the more the merrier.は、「（人が）多ければ多いほど楽しい」という意味です。
